Due to the unique approach William takes to each event, there is no standardised length imposed on each film. However, on average William’s films tend to end up being between 20 to 25 minutes long. The trailer will be a shortened version of your film and will be sent to you before the finished film, which makes it perfect for posting on social media and sharing with all your friends and family before you receive your longer film.

William has an average turnaround time of 8 weeks after the date of your wedding. It can take up to 3 months for you to receive your film(s), but William will stay in touch with you throughout the editing process to keep you updated on the development of your film(s).

As part of the standard package, you will receive a cinematic-style film of your event and 3 to 5-minute trailer, a full multi-camera recording of both the ceremony and the speeches, which can be accessed via a private Vimeo link that William will provide. If requested, William can place your film(s) onto a USB drive or DVD, which can be posted to your address. Additional products can be purchased which are listed on William’s ‘Packages’ page on this website.

William will be contracted to spend a minimum of 5 full working days putting your film together. Although William is a perfectionist so he will spend as many hours as it takes to ensure your film reflects you and your event perfectly, at no extra cost.

William is confident that you will fall in love with your film on your first viewing. However, on the rare occasion that you would like any adjustments to be made to your film, he is able to do this at a cost of £30 per agreed hour of editing.

William is an international events and wedding videographer. He is based in Manchester and the Northwest; however, he covers the whole of the UK and travels the length of the country regularly. In order to work to the best of his abilities he may ask that accommodation be provided if his travel time exceeds 2 hours. William is also available to travel abroad for destination events and weddings.

That is up to you! For weddings, William usually arrives early during the bridal preparations, around three hours before the ceremony. Although as it is your big day, it is completely how you want it!

For other events, depending on the type of event and if any setting up time is required before filming can commence, William will work with you to figure out the best time for his arrival to make sure he is ready to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments.

For the best possible sound quality, we will mic individuals during the event using a small clip-on mic that will be connected to a small recorder. That will then be slipped into a trouser or dress pocket.

William is able to take payment via bank transfer or cheque. However, if you have any questions or concerns about this process, you can contact William to discuss payment options via his contact page on this website.

If you would like to book William for your event, get in touch via the contact page on this website.

William will also arrange a pre-event consultation phone call before your event is due to take place. This gives yourself and him the chance to get to know each other before your event and for you to discuss the arrangements in more depth. It also gives you the chance to ask any further questions you may have.

The full fee will be required at least 2 weeks before your event is due to take place.

Why a wedding film?

Your wedding film is also a gift for those closest to you. It is a chance for friends and family who couldn’t make the day itself to feel a part of your wedding. Maybe a great gran who isn’t quite up to it or a group of friends who have emigrated. Your film will allow them to relive all of those special moments. The slight slip up in the vows, the first dance, that ever special moment of the all important kiss.

Over time, your film will grow in value and become a treasured part of your family history. It will be a priceless document of your day, passed on to future generations. A chance for you to share your wedding day, maybe with your future children and grandchildren. A chance for them to see and hear their past relatives having the time of their lives. A chance for you to see all of your family and friends gathered together, maybe for just the one time, in a unique setting laid out just for you.

Your wedding day is unique and unrepeatable. Don’t miss this one opportunity you have to preserve the memories, sights and sounds of your special day in a unique and stylish way, keeping the experience with you forever.

After weeks, months and years of planning every last detail from the arrangements of the flowers to the colour of the bridesmaids shoes, the big day will finally come round. But once your day comes to an end, what are you left with? The cake will be long eaten, the flowers will wilt, your guests will have all left and the dress will be back in its box.

Yes you will have the memories. You will have the photos and the stories. But none of these will allow you to truly experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere of your special day again. To watch back all the reactions, tears and smiles and to feel that unique love and joy all over again, all without the inevitable stresses and distractions the day itself will bring.

The beauty of a wedding film is that it will enable you to re-live the biggest day of your life again and again, whenever you want and wherever you want. The vows, the speeches, the dancing. Things that photography alone will simply be unable to capture. It will allow you to enjoy your day from a fresh perspective and it will make sure you don’t miss out on those moments you missed during the chaos of the day.

As the bride and groom, you will obviously be the number one focal point of the day. You will undoubtedly be left greeting and making time for all your guests and it is inevitable that the day will shoot past you in a blur, leaving you to experience just a fraction of the whole event. After spending a huge amount of time and money making sure that even the tiniest of details are just how you want them, you may be left feeling that you have missed out on a lot. Yes, photos will help you to remember how everyone looked, but film brings out higher levels of emotion and can really take you back to your special day in a way that nothing else quite can.

Inspiration can go a long way when creating something truly great. Because of this, we want to inspire and be inspired by our couples.

We believe that wedding cinematography is its own art form and therefore a skill that has to be mastered to be delivered. Our experience and past feedback proves that we have mastered what we do.

We realise that each wedding is unique, and therefore each and every film William Lang Films create is personalised and handcrafted for our couples. No wedding is ever the same and therefore no film we make is ever the same.

We use high definition professional cameras, a range of studio-standard discrete lavalier and small microphones and we use the leading industry standard in editing software to put the films together. We use independent artist's music due to copyright laws.

We realise that weddings aren’t cheap yet this shouldn’t stop anyone from getting the most from their special day. Using our own style, as opposed to the old standard video recorder, we aim to highlight your special day, elegantly and cinematically.

We go beyond what most other wedding videographers offer and we do it at a lower price. In our experience, we have found they often produce films that are long, boring and not something you or your friends and family would like to watch very often. Our films are a cinematic reflection of our couples relationship, their day and their story. We use only the highest levels of cinematography and our films are made to make sure they remain something you will want to watch over and over again.

More than anything, we love what we do. This love shows through the films we make, making sure we covers every last detail and enabling us to maintain our high standards of work.

If what you see on this website inspires you, then we would love to hear from you. Let’s meet for coffee and have a chat about the biggest day of your life!
